Relay For Life - An amazing fun event

Relay For Life brings people from all walks of life together for a common cause. Team members walk and jog through the night, symbolising the fact that cancer never sleeps.

Teams are made up of friends, family, co-workers, and your local community. Relay For Life is a fun event with every team bringing its own special energy by creating campsites and enjoying the entertainment and each other’s company. Worldwide, more than five million people take part in a Relay For Life event every year.

Event programme Saturday:

12 noon
Teams start to arrive to set up camp and decorate their camp site.

3.15pm
Survivors & carers registration opens. A survivor is anyone who has had a cancer diagnosis.

3.45pm
Opening ceremony commences.

4.00pm
Opening lap led by survivors & carers followed by survivors afternoon tea.

9.00pm
Candlelight remembrances ceremony

You’ll enjoy non-stop live entertainment, activities and games which include the infamous “Relay Team Tug of War” and “Project Runway”. Other activities include: midnight bingo, movies, relaxing sports massage and trackside Scrabble!

In the merchandise marquee you’ll be able to purchase and decorate a candle bag in memory of someone special for the candlelight remembrance ceremony.
